This charming hostel exceeded all expectations with its warm and friendly atmosphere. The twin room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the bathroom facilities were clean. The hostel offers many amenities, including a pool, well-stocked kitchens, and free bike hire. The owners, John and Tina, were gracious hosts and created a welcoming environment. Tropic Days is not just a place to stay, but a home away from home.
Absolutely nothing.

The location of the hostel was perfect, as it was close to the Great Barrier Reef and within walking distance to all the Cairns attractions. It was also conveniently situated in the main area of Cairns, which made it easy to explore the city. the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff provided excellent service. the hostel offered a delicious free breakfast and had a beautiful garden to enjoy.
The reception hours were a bit inconvenient, but it did not significantly impact the overall experience.

From the moment I arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The twin room I stayed in was comfortable and well-equipped with a TV and bar fridge. The bathroom and toilet facilities were impeccable, always fresh and clean. I loved the different kitchens available, fully stocked with everything I needed. Whether I wanted to relax by the pool, lounge in a hammock, do yoga, or hang out in the garden with the entertaining chooks, there was always a perfect spot to unwind. What impressed me even more was the hostel's commitment to eco-friendliness, with recycling and composting efforts in place. The free bike hire was a fantastic perk, and the owner John even accommodated my early need for transportation. Speaking of the owners, John and Tina run the place with grace and care, instilling a sense of heart, joy, and fun into Tropic Days. They were great communicators and always open for a friendly chat. Tropic Days truly exceeded my expectations and felt like a home away from home.
One slight drawback during my stay was a group of guests who were celebrating an anniversary outside the hostel. Unfortunately, they were quite loud and disruptive, even continuing their conversation well into the early morning hours.

This hostel is conveniently located close to the lagoon and all the Cairns attractions. the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. the rooms are exceptionally clean and the hostel provides a great breakfast. the outdoor pool is surrounded by beautiful plants and there are plenty of sun beds for relaxing. the hostel offers a complimentary shuttle service.
It can get quite warm in the rooms, especially at night, so it's recommended to bring repellent and have the option of using AC for a small fee.

The hostel was well-maintained and cozy with clean shared areas and a nice outdoor space. The staff was friendly and accommodating, offering a shuttle service which was convenient for accessing the nearby city centre. the option to join community food nights provided an opportunity to connect with other travelers.
The hostel was plagued by an abundance of mosquitoes which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the experience. despite the nice shared spaces, some of the facilities were unfortunately damaged or unusable, such as the pool table which was in need of significant repair.

The common areas were clean and had several options to hang out. they had a shuttle service that took us to the main attractions. it was great to have a kitchenette to cook our own meals and save some money.
The room was old and poorly maintained. the pillows were too flat, and the air conditioning only had two settings: too cold or too hot.

This hotel is an oasis of luxury and tranquility. the staff are attentive and accommodating, meeting our every need. the garden area is stunning, dotted with sun loungers and a sun terrace that offer the perfect place to unwind. the leisure room is a great place to hang out, watch TV, or entertain other guests, and the picnic tables provide an ideal location for a relaxed meal.
We noticed that the entertainment activities were limited. we were so impressed by the exquisite service and luxurious amenities that we hardly noticed.

As a traveler in Cairns for a week, Tropic Days Boutique was the perfect choice for my stay. The free shuttle service into the main area of town was a huge convenience. I also appreciated the two kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs, which made it easy to prepare meals without overcrowding. The friendly staff and clean facilities were other highlights. Plus, being able to book tours and activities at reception was a bonus!
Can't recommend highly enough this hostel.
